Three Cases of Traumatic Delayed Reputure of the Spleen

Abstract

|
|
There are many reports about posttraumatic rupture of the spleen in world literature, but delayed rupture of the spleen is known and rare. Three cases of delayed rupture of the spleen were seen in 34,24 and 23 years old males at the 3rd Army Hospital. Which were ruptured in posttrauma 30, 7 and 2 days, and they were treated by immediate splenectomy. The review of the literature for early diagnosis and emergency splenectomy was discussed.
